We run two classes on a Monday evening 7pm until 8pm and on a Thursday evening 6pm - 7pm.
Rookie Includes:
During this programme, swimmers will work towards the RLSS Rookie Lifeguard Awards.
"I really enjoyed the Rookie Lifegaurd classes as it was a good insight into what I would need to do to become a lifeguard. The drills that were involved in each session, helped me to build up the strength to be able to confidently complete my lifeguarding course when I turned 16. I not only gained the skills from Rookie classes, but I also gained friends and made close friendships with the other swimmers in my class.
I am now a fully qualified lifeguard working at a local swim school"

"My children really enjoy attending the Rookie Lifeguards sessions. They
always have lots of fun playing games and competitions, whilst they are
learning serious aspects of water safety, including rescue and
resuscitation techniques. They have been taught about the dangers
presented by all types of water including lakes, lagoons and the sea. I
believe this is invaluable at their young ages, and in turn gives me
some comfort I wouldn't have otherwise - thank you Aqua Swim Stars."

Want to swim at the Olympics? Here at Splish Splash Swim, we aim to provide swimmers with every opportunity we can provide. Our new Mini Olympics Squad has been designed for the Advanced Swimmer who have completed their Swim England National Plan Stage 5 Award and can swim 25 m on all three main strokes.
The session will give pupils an insight into competitive swimming, learning how to start, turn, race and continue to develop a competitive swim stroke.
Splish Splash’s Mini Olympic Squad will also have the opportunity to take part and enter a pre-comp Gala at one of England’s main swim venues, Ponds Forge in Sheffield. These gala’s will give the pupils a fantastic opportunity and some experience in what competitive swimming is all about!
This session is also aimed at the advanced swimmer who would still like to gain experience in the above, but does not want to progress to club swimming. The session will provide stamina and more advanced swim skills for those who want a session just for fitness!
"My daughter has always enjoyed her weekly sessions at Mini Olympics.
She has learnt new skills (race starts and turns) and enjoyed the more
competitive aspect of swimming that these classes offer.
My daughter especially enjoyed attending the Pre Comp Galas in Sheffield with Splish Splash, and winning a medal. This in turn gave her the confidence to go for a trial at Coalville Swimming Club who have offered a space - all thanks to Aqua Swim Stars."
