  • How long is the swimming lesson?

    All our swimming lessons are 25m minutes

  • What happens if my child can't attend a swimming lesson?

    Any missed lesson due to illness or otherwise are "lost lessons". The swim school cannot offer replacement lessons for non attendance


  • How many pupils are in a class lesson?

    Generally, we have up to six pupils per class in the lower beginner levels, which can increase up to 8 pupils in more advanced stages

  • Are the swim teachers in the water with the pupils?

    Our Swimming teachers go into the water with all the beginner stages.

  • How do we pay for lessons?

    Payment for swimming lessons can either be made by bank transfer directly into our account or by cash at our reception desk

  • How much does a course of class lessons cost?

    A course of 10 continuous 25 minute lessons costs £65

  • What will my child need for the lessons?

    We ask all pupils to have their own equipment, which should be named.

    We recommend all pupils have a float, wear a hat, googles are optional.

    Children in beginner stages should bring flotation discs. We recommend Delphin Discs.

  • At what age can my child join your staged learning classes?

    Pupils can start lessons in preschool or stage one classes from the age of 3 years.

  • How long does it take my child to learn to swim?

    Mastering swimming, like any skill, depends greatly on a number of factors which include age, size, core strength, natural ability, styles of teaching. Each and every child will progress at their own rate.

  • Does my child receive any awards?

    YES! Swimmers are assessed weekly alongside the Swim England National Plan criteria as well aiming to achieve other Swim England add on awards. Once your child has achieved an award, you will be contacted to let you know which award your child has achieved!

  • What qualifications do the instructors hold?

    All our swimming instructors are Swim England Level 2 Qualified or equivalent and also hold an enhanced DBS (the Disclosure and Barring

    Service) check. In addition, all our staff hold their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent.

    Our instructors and lifeguards all undergo safeguard training, as well as monthly staff training where competency tests are completed.
