Want to swim for charity?
This page is dedicated in memory of Claire Lincoln, a fantastic swim teacher, who worked for Splish Splash for over 6 years. Claire sadly passed away on 10th February 2013 to cancer at the early age of 27 years of age.
We aim to raise money in aid of two charities that helped Claire through her difficult times.
Splish Splash pupils, parents and staff have already raised over £1000 within our first few months of fundraising for Help Harry Help Others and St Giles Hospice and we hope to continue raising more money for these charities in the future.
I would personally like to thank you all for the help and support you have given the Swim School to help raise such fantastic amounts in such a short space of time.
We have managed to raise a staggering £500 selling Help Harry Help Others Bracelets
We have raised an amazing £8343.68 through a sponsored swim with Wilf Smith and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who took part in swimming 1000 lengths and dedicated it to Glenfield Hospital Heartlink appeal who have kept him healthy despite heart problems since the age of 60.
One of our swimmers did a book sale at swimming on Sautrday 8th June, with all proceeds going to Help Harry Help Others.
Well done Libby for raising £12.20
We asked parents and staff to bake cakes and for them to sell them at lessons.
We raised £500 and this was donated to St Giles Hospice.
Staff, family, students and parents took part in a Solstice Walk in aid of St Giles on the 22nd June. Great effort by everyone who took part and helped raise over £250.00
